The University of Washington offers both Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees in Health Informatics and Health Information Management (HIHIM) as part of our School of Public Health, ranked #2 among U.S. public graduate schools, according to US News & World Report. The MHIHIM program is delivered in a convenient, hybrid-flexible (HyFlex) format, meeting synchronously in-person or virtually three days each month, and the bachelor’s program is offered as a convenient evening program, consisting of classes two evenings per week on campus. Both programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management (CAHIIM). The bachelor’s program is the oldest, continuously accredited HIHIM program in the Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho (WWAMI) region, and the master’s program is the only continuously accredited hybrid-flexible HIHIM master’s program in the WWAMI region.
