Supporting Our Profession Through Scholarships

The Washington State Health Information Management Association (WSHIMA) recognizes that our association and profession benefit from the talents and energy of well-educated graduates of Health Informatics and Health Information Management and Technology programs in Washington State.

With your donation WSHIMA can assist qualified health information students and professionals in their educational endeavors through two scholarship programs:

  • The Sister Peter Olivaint Scholarship Program for students of any CAHIIM approved program
  • The WSHIMA Professional Development Scholarship for any active WSHIMA member advancing their education and knowledge through contemporary and innovative achievements

The Long Term Care Health Information Management Scholarship Program offers five scholarships, one to each of the Washington CAHIIM approved programs (Associates programs at Shoreline Community College, Spokane Community College, Tacoma Community College and the Bachelors program at University of Washington).

If you wish to support these scholarships, please add a donation to your WSHIMA 2020 Health Data an Information Conference registration. If you have already registered and would still like to donate go to our Scholarship Donation page.

If you are interested in applying for any of these scholarships fill out the application form on WSHIMA scholarship web page. The deadline for applications is April 11, 2021.
