WGU-Washington offers continuous monthly enrollment and a self-paced competency-based model, meaning we give credit only when a student shows competency through getting a “B” or better on an exam or assignment, rather than hours spent in a classroom. All classes are online, so we can offer tuition that is considerably less than brick and mortar universities and our students frequently maintain employment that further reduces the financial burden of obtaining a degree. Target population is:
- IT professionals who wish to work in the healthcare environment;
- Allied health professionals interested in working with information systems and learning how health information can be shared with internal and external stakeholders;
- Current health information management professionals who wish to upgrade their knowledge and skills in using information systems to manage health information.
