A steering committee has been formed to coordinate efforts to update the Public Hospital Districts Records Retention Schedule, Version 5.0 (March 2011). An updated retention schedule is essential to managing public records, which means not only complying with record-keeping requirements, but also maximizing resources and minimizing risk through appropriate records retention and disposition.
The committee is looking for volunteers to serve on workgroups as subject-matter experts in Healthcare Operations, Quality Control, Treatment, Research, and Long Term Care/Nursing Home Facilities. The workgroups will review and suggest changes to the retention schedule.
The timeline is June through September 2017. The frequency, duration, and setting of workgroup meetings will depend on location and availability of workgroup members; however, members can expect to meet for no more than 4 hours per month.
If you are interested in joining a workgroup or have questions about the steering committee, please contact Ryan Schlender, UW Medicine Records Analyst at: email@example.com.
